personal data. As a member of the Dutch
MarktOnderzoekAssociatie, ActiveReaction comply with the
ICC/ESOMAR
International Code of Marketing and Social Research Practice. The Code has
been jointly drafted by ESOMAR and the International Chamber of Commerce and
is endorsed by the major national professional bodies around the world. This

to third parties' websites.

and therefore complies with the
Personal Data

Protection directive. ActiveReaction never disclose any personal data to
third parties without explicit permission of the respondent. Personal data
is collected entirely voluntary at all stages and treated as confidential.
Personal data is never used for any non-research purposes, unless the

Website visitors’ browsing data
When browsing this website, general information such as the visitor's IP
address, the type of browser used and names of files and pages retrieved are
logged by ActiveReaction’s web servers. It is not possible to personally
identify the visitor using this information; it is merely used to improve
the website’s content and meet visitors’ requirements.
Viewers' panel
For TIM-Online projects, where
multimedia projects are deployed, ActiveReaction, in cooperation with
Klapper
Communications, use a panel of
viewers. This panel was specifically recruited for this purpose. This
panel is strictly separated from people participating in other methods of
Internet research. This Privacy Statement also applies to the viewers’
panel.
Use of cookies
A cookie is a small file created by a web server, which is saved on the
visitor’s hard disk. Upon subsequent page requests, this file is sent back
to the web server in order for the web server to 'recognise' which visiting
computer it dealt with the previous time. This has privacy implications, as
each individual’s 'browsing behaviour' can be tracked. Consequently,
corporate networks often don’t allow the use of cookies. That is why
ActiveReaction don't use any cookies at all when offering electronic
services on this website. Furthermore, all of ActiveReaction’s surveys are
completely 'cookie-free', which often isn’t the case with our competitors.
For more (technical) information on this subject please

Digital certificates
When undertaking a TIM-Online
project, a
customer can instruct
ActiveReaction to secure (encrypt) the audio and video material to prevent
material to be played/copied by unauthorised users. In that case
ActiveReaction use
Digital Rights Management (DRM) components. These
components could cause playback licences for particular audio and video
material and so-called revocation lists to be stored on the visitor’s
computer. However, it is never possible to personally identify a user by
these licences and revocation lists. For more information on DRM we refer
you to the website of
Microsoft.
Changes to Privacy Statement
ActiveReaction reserve the right to change any of the terms of this Privacy
Statement at any time without notice. ActiveReaction therefore recommend
you review this Privacy Statement from time to time.
